From Walks to Meals: How a Pet Sitting Personal Assistant Can Take Care of Everything
One of the most stressful things when traveling can be leaving your pets, especially if it’s an extended trip. Are they lonely, getting enough to eat/drink, bored…If you’re anything like me, it feels like you’ve left a part of yourself at home. Having a trusted pet sitter can make a huge difference, especially when you know they care for animals as much as you do. In fact, for some of our employees it’s one of their favorite parts of the job!
Before you leave for your trip, you’ll have a meeting with your personal assistant. During this we’ll also ask you to show us around your home, pointing out where food, medicines, brushes, and any other supplies are. We’ll also get all the necessary info for getting into your home, like alarm codes or a house key, as well as any preferences on times for visits.
We'll want allllll the details on your furry friend of course! We're happy to take them out on walks around the block or supervise as they check out all the new smells in the backyard. Cleaning supplies, favorite toys, and any medicines/supplements are also a necessity. Lastly, we'll ask for your preferred contact method and how detailed of updates you'd like to receive!
During this time, we’ll also ask if there’s anything else you’d like done while you’re away. This can be as big as remodeling the kids’ playroom or as small as wanting your favorite groceries in the fridge upon returning home. Other popular add-ons include laundry, turning over beds with fresh sheets, or organizing (imagine coming home to a perfectly tidy pantry!)
Your personal assistant will give you a notification when they’re on their way over, if you’d like. Once there, they can certainly send photos, videos, or even hop on a video call with you, so you can see your babies. We’ll also send pictures of any packages that arrive, messes the pets may make (such as if they broke a vase), and the front door upon leaving. And you’re always free to request more pictures, such as if your favorite rose bush is blooming but you have to travel for a month. We’ll happily grab pics and send them to you!
We can also assist with other typical house-sitting or house manager tasks and personal assistant tasks such as: booking travel, collecting the mail, catching up on laundry and errands, replacing light bulbs, disposing of trash (including taking bins to and from the street), or tending to plants. Additionally, we can address any unforeseen needs during your absence, such as letting in service providers, shipping forgotten items, sending important documents and more.
